“Generative Matrix: The Recoding of Sound,” part of the Pingshan Art Museum’s sixth anniversary celebrations, will take place Saturday night at the museum in Pingshan District.
Shenzhen artist Bai Zhiwei, Hong Kong artist Lau Hiu Kong, Guangzhou artist mafmadmaf, artist Kagami Smile from the U.S., the duo NGC6302, the pink;money group, and artist Talentune, will guide audience members through the captivating realm of generative art. This art form emphasizes the process rather than the final outcome, featuring interaction, openness, and unpredictability.

Through the use of computer programs and random processes, a unique audio-visual experience will be crafted, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the world of sound art.
Please note that audience members of Saturday’s show must be at least 12 years old. Some performances will invite audience interaction. If you experience discomfort due to sound or lighting during the show, please inform the staff on-site.

Meanwhile, visitors can explore two exhibitions currently on display at the art museum during its opening hours. Chinese artist Wu Wei is displaying installations, sculptures, and videos at his “Wild Man Index” exhibition, which runs through April 6.
For art enthusiasts who may have missed previous exhibitions at the Pingshan Art Museum, a retrospective exhibition is also available, showcasing some of the outstanding pieces collected by the museum from 2019 to 2023.
