Splendid China launches Dragon Boat Festival events and 9.9-yuan children's tickets

During the three-day Dragon Boat Festival holiday (May 31 to June 2), the Splendid China • China Folk Culture Villages theme park will offer a series of immersive activities celebrating the traditional customs of the Dragon Boat Festival, along with special 9.9-yuan (US$1.37) tickets for children.

In the Splendid Market · A Dream of Splendor themed zone, visitors can participate in Dragon Boat Festival activities such as the hand cleansing ritual, dice throwing ceremony, making rice dumplings, and crafting scented sachets. They can also enjoy colorful pop-up performances, purchase unique cultural and creative products such as Dragon Boat Festival-themed lacquer fans, and taste delicacies including crystal rice dumplings, and ice drinks made from artemisia argyi leaves. These experiences allow visitors to feel the distinctive charm of the Dragon Boat Festival in the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127).

In addition, Splendid China offers a rich cultural experience of national minority Dragon Boat Festival customs. In the national minority villages within the theme park, visitors can take part in traditional customs such as egg balancing and drinking realgar wine. They can also join in fun activities like dragon boat races, a parent-child rice dumpling wrapping competition, and a parent-child noodle eating contest, creating memorable festival experiences.

Children between 1.2 meters and 1.5 meters tall can purchase tickets for the Dragon Boat Festival period at a special price of 9.9 yuan. Each child must be accompanied by at least one adult, and each adult may bring up to three children. These concessionary tickets can be purchased via the theme park’s official WeChat account “jxzh1989.”
