Apple expands in SZ with new store in Bao' an

Apple will open its newest retail store at the Uniwalk Qianhai shopping mall in Bao'an District on Saturday. The location will be Apple's third store in Shenzhen and its fifth in Guangdong Province.

It follows the company's first Shenzhen store, which opened at Holiday Plaza in Nanshan District in 2012, and a second store at the MixC in Luohu District in 2023.

Strategically positioned in Uniwalk Mall in Bao'an District, the new store strengthens Apple's retail footprint across Shenzhen's east-west corridor. The location provides customers with access to Apple's full product lineup, technical support, and free creative sessions through Today at Apple.

"Qianhai is a pivotal hub for innovation and commerce in the Greater Bay Area," said Rachel Yu, Apple Retail's South China market director. "With this opening, we've established a comprehensive retail presence across Shenzhen, ensuring customers citywide—especially in the rapidly growing western districts—can experience Apple's products and services firsthand."

More than 120 staff members will work at the store, including two visually impaired employees and one team member who returned from retirement. The team will provide hands-on technical support and customer service, including demonstrations of the iPhone 16 series, M4-powered MacBook Pro, and Apple Vision Pro, as well as personalized setup and trade-in assistance.

A dedicated Apple Vision Pro demo area will provide 30-minute immersive sessions, showcasing spatial computing capabilities. Additionally, free Today at Apple workshops—covering photography, design, and accessibility—will be available daily, with private group bookings offered for organizations.

The store’s design aligns with Apple’s global retail ethos, emphasizing sustainability and accessibility. Its opening coincides with the company’s broader push to deepen ties with Shenzhen’s tech and business communities.
