A drone performance and light show will light up Shenzhen on Aug. 26 to mark the 45th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.
The activity will start at 8:26 p.m., Aug. 26 (Tuesday) with stunning light show and mesmerizing drone performance to tell the story of Shenzhen and convey the spirit of the special economic zone.
The drone performance will last 30 minutes, with the light show running throughout the entire 1-hour activity.
It will create new records for both the number of drones and the duration of performance, breaking the previous single-flight record of 15 minutes, according to a release by Live Shenzhen (深圳发布).
During the activity, the lighted facades of buildings will change colors and patterns in real-time to synchronize with the drone formations, creating an immersive, dynamic and captivating visual spectacle for the audience.

The city held a stunning light show featuring 10,000 drones in October last year to mark the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The drone and light show also set two Guinness World records: one for the most drones controlled by a single computer at the same time, and the other for the most drones involved in a light show.
Reservations for watching the light show at Shenzhen Civic Center and Shenzhen Talent Park can be made through WeChat miniprogram "文旅深圳." Those who fail to make a reservation or cannot watch the show on-site can watch it through the official channel of "第一深圳" or "文旅深圳."
