Sihai Park

From: Shenzhen Daily

Sihai Park, built in 1987, is the oldest city park in Shekou. It underwent a major upgrade in 2020 to enhance its facilities and landscape. The park’s main highlight is an ancient forest featuring 619 litchi trees, which create a serene and shaded environment for visitors.

In spring, the park comes alive with the brilliant pink shower trees (Cassia bakeriana), offering a striking visual display. During summer, the lotus pond becomes a centerpiece, with its delicate flowers and peaceful water creating a cool, refreshing atmosphere. As autumn arrives, the park presents a uniquely Chinese aesthetic: the bald cypress trees turn a warm golden-red, reflecting beautifully on the water.

Sihai Park is not only a place of natural beauty but also a cultural retreat that changes with the seasons, making it a must-visit destination in Shekou.
