Flower fair brings festive atmosphere of the Chinese New Year

No Chinese Lunar New Year is complete without flowers — the ultimate symbols of luck, prosperity, and joy.

The 2026 Shenzhen Spring Festival Flower Fair will be held from Feb. 6 to 16, which is Chinese New Year's Eve.

This year, all districts across Shenzhen will host major flower fairs alongside convenient satellite flower markets, giving residents and visitors ample opportunities to purchase festive blooms. Many venues are easily accessible via Metro.


Highlights of venues

The Aiguo Road Flower Fair

Established in 1998, this long-running fair holds special memories for many longtime Shenzhen residents.

Time: Feb. 10-16

Metro: Line 3 to Cuizhu Station (翠竹站), Exit B2


Central Avenue, One Avenue (Futian District)

One Avenue's Central Avenue with more than 200 stalls is the center stage of Futian District's flower fair. The 24,000-square-meter flower fair also features live performances and artistic floral installations.

Time: Feb. 10-16

Metro: Line 1 or 10 to Gangxia Station (岗厦站), Exit B


Nanshan District Flower Fair

A blend of culture and celebration awaits at venues including Dutch Flower Town, Zhongshan Park, and Nantou Ancient Town. Enjoy Cantonese folk music, Spring Festival parades, national intangible cultural heritage displays, and dazzling light installations.

Time: Feb. 10-16

Metro: Line 1 to Daxin Station (大新站), Line 12 to Zhongshan Park Station (中山公园站) or Nantou Ancient Town Station (南头古城站)


Guangming District Flower Fair 

Guangming District has introduced new elements such as drone displays and national intangible cultural heritage performances at Guangming Science Park, which is the main venue of the district’s flower fair.

Time: Feb. 6-15

Metro: Line 6 to Science Park Station (科学公园站)
