With a history of more than 40 years, Nan’ao Dried Seafood Street in Dapeng New Area has long been a major distribution hub for dried seafood across the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Along the 500-meter street, vendors sell a wide range of products — from abalone, sea cucumbers and fish maw to shrimp, nori and snacks — making it a one-stop shopping destination for families. 

More than 85% of the merchants now operate online stores, and over half have adopted livestream sales. Shops display standardized signs inviting visitors to scan QR codes to browse products, place orders, or arrange delivery directly to friends and family. Dapeng New Area has also introduced a compensation and regulatory framework for resolving consumer disputes.
