Shenzhen Peking Opera Theater

Shenzhen Peking Opera Theater was officially established March 3, 2026, marking a significant step forward in the preservation and development of China’s rich traditional cultural heritage.

The theater is committed to presenting a series of outstanding Peking opera performances, fostering the growth of traditional Chinese opera, and offering Shenzhen residents an exceptional operatic experience.

Founded jointly with Shenzhen Theater — a long-established cultural institution in the city— the new theater builds upon Shenzhen’s decade-long dedication to opera promotion. Since 2013, Shenzhen has hosted the Opera Masters Exhibition, demonstrating its strong commitment to safeguarding and passing on the traditions of this thousand-year-old art form.
