【Catch Phrase】密码疲劳(mìmǎ píláo)

Writer:   | Editor: 杨梅  | From:  | Updated: 2017-02-21

Meaning:

"密码" means "password" and "疲劳" means "fatigue." Password fatigue is the feeling experienced by many people who are required to remember an excessive number of passwords as part of their daily routine, such as to log on to a computer at work, undo a bicycle lock or conduct banking from an automated teller machine. The concept is also known as password chaos or more broadly as identity chaos.

Example:

A: 我觉得我快崩溃了,每天都要记住十多个密码。

Wǒ juéde wǒ kuài bēngkuì le, měitiān dōu yào jìzhu shíduōgè mìmǎ。

I feel I'm on the verge of collapse. Every day, I have to remember more than 10 passwords.

B: 我看你是患上密码疲劳症了。

Wǒ kān nǐ shì huànshàng mìmǎ píláo le。

I think you are suffering from password fatigue.

A: 是呀,所以我在想最好还是把所有的密码都写在本子上,以免过些天全忘了。

Shìya, suǒyǐ wǒ zài xiǎng zuìhǎo háishi bǎ suǒyǒu de mìmǎ dōu xiě zài běnzi shàng, yǐmiǎn guòxiē tiān quán wàng le。

Exactly. I am thinking of writing down all my passwords in a notebook in case I forget them later.
