OCT-LOFT Creative Festival to open Saturday

Artists from China, the United States, the Netherlands, Australia and Britain will exhibit their videos, installations and graphics at the exhibition “The Imagined Future is Not the Future” at the 2017 OCT-LOFT Creative Festival.
The artists or groups are Bart Hess, Frank Havermans, Hao Zhenhan, Heather Dewey-Hagborg, Lava Beijing, Liam Young, Memo Akten, Richard Vijgen, Ross Manning, Shangguan Zhe, Su Wukou, Ying Xinxun and Qin Lingsen. The exhibition will encourage people to rethink how new technologies will make an impact on our future.

The exhibition will open at 4:30 p.m. at C2, followed by a guided tour and a performance. Free talks by art critics and artists will be held at A3+. Workshops will be held during the exhibition and OCT-LOFT will announce the schedule on its WeChat account “oct-loft” soon.
在科技持续高速发展，创客、“互联网+”以及人工智能盛行的今天，所有的当代语境皆指向未来，但未来究竟是不是即将到来的未来，是不是所想象的未来？这些提问将得到最大程度的创想和探讨。由华侨城创意文化园主办的2017 OCT-LOFT 创意节，将于2017年12月9日正式亮相深圳华侨城创意文化园北区。本届创意节由创意品项担任策展团队，以“现在的未来不是将来”为主题，特邀国内外12个（组）艺术家／设计师共同参与，在为期3个月的展期里，包含展览、讲座、工作坊等一系列的活动将与公众见面，以艺术设计为媒介，为公众提供N种路径，共同探讨当下与未来。
