China's public holiday

In China, people can enjoy public holidays during many festivals including Yuandan, Spring Festival, Qingming Festival, Labor Day, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays.

The State Council of the People’s Republic of China has published the public holiday arrangements for 2021.

Make your plans carefully so as to get the most out of your holidays!

Yuandan (the first day of the New Year) holidays: Jan. 1, 2022 to Jan. 3, 2022

Spring Festival holidays: Jan. 31 to Feb. 6

The holiday lasts for 7 days in total. Make-up work days are scheduled for Jan. 29 (Saturday) and Jan. 30 (Sunday)

Qingming Festival holidays: Apr. 3 to Apr. 5

Make-up work day is scheduled for Apr. 2 (Saturday)

Labor Day holidays: April 30 to May 4

Make-up work day is scheduled for April. 24 (Sunday), May 7 (Saturday)

Dragon Boat Festival holidays: June 3 to 5

Mid-Autumn Festival holidays: Sept. 10 to 12

National Day holidays: Oct. 1 to Oct. 7

Make-up work day is scheduled for Oct. 8 and Oct. 9 (Saturday and Sunday).
