Maker Crossover and HK-PRD Ecocinema Festival will present “Social Innovation Architecture 2,” a series of events which includes a talk and a guided tour of Shenzhen and a tour of Hong Kong. The organizers hope participants can learn about and experience the impact of social innovation and social architecture in the community through these activities. The events will be in both English and Chinese.
Hong Kong architect Manfred Yuen will share his concept of social innovation architecture in Hong Kong, as well as his vision and his own projects. Violet Su, the representative of Chaihuo x-factory, will guide a tour of Chaihuo x-factory and Vanke Cloud City.

Tracy Lee, the project planner of HK-Ecocinema Festival and the creator of the “I-city HK CineMap” app, will organize a “Tour of HK Cinema-scape” event.
The story and scenes of a movie can represent the history and culture of a city. Lee, who was born in Hong Kong, will offer the walking tour group interesting and enlightening information about Hong Kong historic sites and scenic locations, according to the story and scenes of the 2010 movie “Merry-Go-Round.”
The tour will cover the Central-Mid-Levels Escalator and Walkway System, Wing Lee Street, Hong Kong Museum of Medical Science and Yuen Kwong Wo, an old Chinese medicine shop. The group will have lunch at a traditional Chinese restaurant to taste the local food of Hong Kong.
