THE 14th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) will attract 21,000 buyers from 101 countries and regions when it is held from May 10 to 14 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.

The first two days are mainly for professional visitors and the remaining three days are for visitors from the general public, the fair organizer said at a press conference Wednesday.

At the main venue, which covers 105,000 square meters, a total of 2,308 governments, enterprises and institutions will participate in the fair, showcasing achievements in the cultural industry, trendy designs, animations, publishing, digital culture, arts and crafts and intangible culture heritages in nine halls.

Hall 1 is the exhibition area for key cultural enterprises and industrial parks organized by governments from 31 provinces and regions. Hall 5, the Hall of Digital Culture, will manifest China’s achievements in the convergence of the development of culture and the digital creation industry. The exhibition includes VR, AR holographic imaging, digital facilities and software.

This year’s fair will attract 130 institutions from 42 countries and regions, including the U.K., France, Spain, Austria, Russia, Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. The exhibition areas for overseas exhibitors account for 20 percent of the total exhibition area. The Hall of International Exhibitors in Hall 7 covers 7,500 square meters. Countries and regions under the Belt and Road Initiative will display their traditional arts and crafts, creative designs, intangible cultural heritages and cultural tourism resources to visitors along with presentations of their performing arts.

The arts and crafts exhibition has always been a highlight of ICIF. In Hall 6, an exhibition of well-known Chinese contemporary painters in Shaanxi will be held to mark the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up. Seven art galleries and institutions from Russia, the U.S., France, Ukraine and Israel will hold exhibitions in Hall 6.

The organizer will host more than 60 seminars and promotions at the main venues.

Besides the main venue, other cultural exhibitions, business promotions and matching-making activities will be held at 67 subvenues across the city.
