Meaning:
This term is the transliteration of the English phrase “home party,” a popular form of socializing in the West. In Chinese, “轰趴” is not limited to parties at home, but just any kind of parties, most often, at clubhouses for rent. It’s also interesting to note that Chinese call such a venue “轰趴馆,” which is literally translated as “home party hall.” Such venues are often leased to a group of people, say, for several hours, for purposes of a private party.

Xiǎolín zuìjìn máng shénme ne？
What’s Xiaolin up to lately?
B: 他租了一处别墅，准备开一家轰趴馆。
Tā zū le yīchù biéshù，zhǔnbèi kāi yījiā hōngpāguǎn。
