Two district Party chiefs appointed

LU Yuyin, former Party chief of Pingshan, was appointed Futian’s Party chief Wednesday.

Tao Yongxin, head of Pingshan District Government, was appointed Party chief of Pingshan on the same day.

Lu, born in November 1970, got a doctoral degree in economics at Nankai University and started his work at the General Office of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC in July 1998.

He worked as head of Longgang District Government between September 2015 and June 2016, and had been head of Pingshan Party committee since June 2016.

In a speech after the appointment, Lu said Futian has become the center of administration, finance, culture, commerce, trade and international exchanges through its 28 years of development.

In recent years, Futian has focused on high-quality development with the target of being a model district of modern socialist construction. It has set the direction for developing Finance + Science + Culture and sped up the development of the Lok Ma Chau Loop area of the Shenzhen River, as well as the Xiangmihu area, as it endeavors to be a pioneering district for modern industries in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In the speech, Lu also said that he would liberate his mind and be courageous, pioneering and innovative in his work by taking advantage of the strategic opportunity of the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and guiding Futian to continue its high-quality development in the new era.

In his work, he will prioritize improving the livelihood of the people, education, the level of public services, traffic congestion, water pollution and the environment of urban villages, by pushing forward the construction of a Garden City.

Tao, born in 1972 in Jilin Province, holds a master’s degree in education. After graduating from Northeast Normal University, Tao started working as a teacher at Shenzhen Party School, and was later promoted to director of the office of the Party school.

Between November 2008 and March 2011, Tao worked as vice chairman of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Shenzhen Branch, and was later appointed chief of CCPIT Shenzhen.

Tao had been head of the Pingshan Administrative Committee since August 2015.

Tao said he would work actively to integrate Pingshan into the Guangdong strategic regional development plan.
