Shenzhen is seeking designs for the Central Business District of Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone with a top prize of 5 million yuan (US$777,500).
Design companies from home and abroad can apply and submit their designs to Shenzhen’s urban planning, land and resources commission before July 5. The design includes overall and detailed designs.
The commission will arrange for experts to review the entries and shortlist six candidates for the final. The first-prize winner will win the 5-million-yuan top prize. The second and the third-place finisher will receive 2 million yuan and 1 million yuan, respectively.
The CBD of Shenzhen-Shanwei Special Cooperation Zone is called an exclave land of Shenzhen. Last September, Guangdong approved the administration committee of the cooperation zone as an external agency of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the CPC and the Shenzhen government. The cooperation zone has become a district outside Shenzhen’s 10 districts and new areas.
