Catch Phrase | 飞行检查(fēixíngjiǎnchá)

Meaning:

“飞行” means “flight,” and “检查” means “inspection.” While the Chinese term can refer literally to the periodic evaluation of navigational aids used in aviation, such as flight procedures and electronic signals, it’s more often used to mean “surprise inspection” in a more general sense. In these contexts, the word “飞行” implies the inspection is a sudden and quick procedure. The practice reportedly originated in anti-doping inspections ahead of or during sport competitions, and has been widely adopted by certifying agencies and food and drug authorities.

Example:

A: 有一家生产狂犬病疫苗的上市公司最近股价跌的厉害,好象出了什么大事。

Yǒu yījiā shēngchǎn kuángquǎnbìng yìmiáo de shàngshì gōngsī zuìjìn gǔjià diē de lìhài,hǎoxiàng chū le shénme dàshì。

A listed rabies vaccine maker recently saw its stock price nosediving. The company seems to be caught in something terrible.

B: 我知道你说的那家公司,国家药品监督管理局在飞行检查中发现他们生产记录造假。

Wǒ zhīdào nǐ shuō de nàjiā gōngsī,guójiā yàopǐn jiāndū guǎnlǐ jú zài fēixíngjiǎnchá zhōng fāxiàn tāmen shēngchǎn jìlù zàojiǎ。

I know the company you are talking about. The State Drug Administration found in a surprise inspection that the public company had forged its production record.
