The Shenzhen Products Show & Shenzhen Trade and Investment Promotion Meeting will be held at the London Hilton On Park Lane Hotel between Sept. 16-17 during London Fashion Week.
With the theme of the Integration of Science & Technology and Brand, the two-day show includes three rounds of catwalks, two promotional seminars and three matchmaking negotiations, the organizer, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Shenzhen Branch, said yesterday.
A total of 50 Shenzhen brands from seven advantageous fashion industries, including original clothing, intelligent wearables, underwear, jewelry, watches, leather and glasses, will jointly participate in the show, showing the influence of the city’s fashion industry.
“The show has been listed as an official event on the schedule of London Fashion Week, and so far, more than 150 foreign enterprises have registered,” said Si Lu, deputy-director of the trade promotion department of the council, at a news conference yesterday, adding that it will serve as a platform where Shenzhen garment enterprises can promote local brands.
Si said these industries are the traditionally advantageous brands in Shenzhen that have the potential to expand into global markets.
Statistics show Shenzhen has more than 2,000 clothing enterprises, 300,000 employees and more than 1,000 clothing brands. Fashion R&D, design and production enjoy the leading status at home. Last year, the total sales volume of the Shenzhen clothing industry reached around 230 billion yuan (US$33.7 billion).
