“Despicable Me: A Minion’s Perspective Exhibition,” a grand interactive and entertaining exhibition based on Illumination’s “Minions” and “Despicable Me” movies, is being held at OCT Harbor in Nanshan District.

Covering 4,000 square meters, the exhibition is organized by Shenzhen Blooming Investment, Universal Brand Development, Illumination Entertainment and Beast Kingdom Co. Ltd.

Visitors will have the chance to test their skills in Gru’s lab, visit Gru’s daughters’ bedroom, admire Eric Guillon’s illustrations, indulge themselves in a ball pool and take selfies with four famous villians: Scarlet Overkill, Balthazar Bratt, El Macho and Vector Perkins.

“Despicable Me” is a 2010 3-D computer-animated comedy film produced by Illumination Entertainment as its debut film and distributed by Universal Pictures. Gru is a supervillain who adopts three girls from an orphanage. Vector is a rival of Gru who steals the Great Pyramid of Giza. When Gru learns of Vector’s heist, he plans an even greater heist: to shrink and steal the moon. However, despite Gru’s villainous intentions, he grows increasingly touched by the girls’ growing love for him and finds himself changing for the better because of it.

Its prequel “Minions,” released in 2015, features Gru’s small, yellow creatures, Minions, as the main characters.
