Shenzhen and Dubai will bring their respective advantages into full play and develop cooperation in tourism, economics and trade, according to a memorandum signed Monday.
The memorandum, signed by Shenzhen Mayor Chen Rugui and the Secretary General of Dubai Executive Council Abdulla Al Basti, marks the official establishment of a friendly exchange relationship between the two cities.
According to the MOU, the two sides will develop exchanges and cooperation in multiple sectors including logistics, infrastructure, public service, science and finance.
Prior to the agreement signing ceremony, Chen told Al Basti that the establishment of a friendly exchange city relationship is of special significance at this time, as China is marking its 40th anniversary of reform and opening up.
Chen hopes the two cities will promote, complement and share their respective advantageous resources, seize the opportunities provided by the Belt and Road Initiative and contribute to the comprehensive China-UAE strategic relationship.
