Meaning:

“跳出” means “to jump out of,” and “舒适圈” is translated from the English term “comfort zone,” which refers to a psychological state in which things feel familiar to a person and they are at ease and in control of their environment, thus experiencing low levels of anxiety and stress. In this zone, a steady level of performance is possible. As research revealed that performance can be enhanced by some amount of stress, people are encouraged to step out of their comfort zone, take risks and push themselves to excel.

Example:

A: 小马辞职了。听说他申请了一所美国大学准备去念博士。

Xiǎomǎ cízhí le。Tīngshuō tā shēnqǐng le yīsuǒ měiguó dàxué zhǔnbèi qù niàn bóshì。

Xiaoma has submitted his resignation to the boss. I hear that he’s applied to a doctoral program in a U.S. university and will continue his studies there.

B: 我佩服他总是有勇气跳出舒适圈,追求不一样的生活。

Wǒ pèifú tā zǒngshì yǒu yǒngqì tiàochū shūshìquān,zhuīqiú bù yīyàng de shēnghuó。

I admire his courage to step out of his comfort zone and go after a different life.
