Red Scarf

Red Scarf consists of guitarist Li Xing, drummer Deng Boyu and saxophonist Lao Dan. From psychedelic rock to progressive rock and free jazz, Li adopts noise, environmental sounds, serialism, aleatoric or chance-controlled music. Deng is also an avant-garde electronic musician and released his first electronic solo album “Wild Air Waves” in 2012. He formed Red Scarf band with Li and Lao Dan in 2014. Lao Dan can also play Chinese bamboo flute, offering his audience an integrated listening experience. Influenced by many Western masters, he has found a fresh and unrestrained sound in his saxophone playing.

Re:plus

Re:plus is a music project led by Hiroaki Watanabe, whose influences come from a myriad of genres, including break-beat, house, hip-hop, jazz, ambient, acoustic, electro and more. He assimilates all that he hears through a personal nostalgic filter and creates a new unique sound. The debut album “Everlasting Truth” reached the top of the iTunes hip-hop chart in 2010 and ever since Re:plus has been considered a monumental work of Japan’s hip-hop scene. In 2015, Watanabe released a third album “Miscellany” featuring killer tracks “Yourside,” which sounds like an anthem for the future of hip-hop.
