Bao'an District Government and Shenzhen Airport Group recently held a meeting to accelerate the construction of Shenzhen International Airport as well as the surrounding areas.
Yao Ren, party chief of Bao’an District, and Zheng Hongbo, chairman of the airport group, reached an agreement at the meeting that both sides should cooperate with each other to boost the airport economy and support the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Yao said that Bao’an and the airport group have their responsibilities and advantages in helping construct the Greater Bay Area. The Bao’an airport plays a fundamental role in developing Bao’an’s airport economy. This role will be more evident as the construction of key projects like Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link speed up. As a result, the cooperation will make each side play a better role in facilitating development of industries including aviation, logistics and high technology.
Zheng said at the meeting that the airport has achieved better development with the help of Bao’an District. Next, the airport will introduce high-quality logistics enterprises, accelerate the construction of a satellite hall and a third runway, and promote it’s cargo service in order to support the Greater Bay Area’s development.
