The Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year, is undergoing massive changes as various construction and beautification projects have been completed, allowing various institutions and enterprises to move in.

To date, the construction of 149 new buildings has been completed, as has the main structure of 39 complexes. Four large parks with greenways have been opened to the public.

Owing to the preferential policies and their endowed appeal, the cooperation zone and the Qianhai & Shekou Free Trade Area have maintained strong momentum in terms of environment and economic development.

According to the latest statistics released by the Qianhai authority, the area saw robust economic growth in the first half of 2019, recording double-digit growth in its main economic indicators. The added value of Qianhai-registered companies increased by 19.3 percent, while fixed asset investment grew by 23.2 percent. Qianhai also recorded a 10.1-percent growth in imports and exports in the first five months of the year.
