A graduation ceremony was held at Nanshan Cultural and Sports Center on Saturday, celebrating the conclusion of professional training for the first batch of 60 security guards, according to the Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.

At present, there are more than 240,000 security guards across the city. They have actively collaborated with Shenzhen police to conduct missions, playing a significant role in finding sources, safeguarding social security, managing emergency situations and offering help to citizens.

However, due to factors such as high job turnover, uneven quality and inadequate hiring schemes, some of the security guards lack basic career skills.

As a result, the Municipal Public Security Bureau launched a pilot training project at Lianhuan and Nantou police stations to offer theoretical and practical training for newcomers who have yet to receive the certificate required to be a security guard.

After the training, security guards who pass the examination will be awarded with a certificate. The training courses include etiquette, public security management, fire safety management, anti-scam publicity and rescue skills.

During the training, they were also invited to participate in security patrols with police officers to help enhance their practical abilities.
