Yanshan in Nanshan

Yanshan Community covers an area of 3 square kilometers accommodating 23,161 residents in total, including 1,776 foreign residents and fellow compatriots from 49 countries and regions (including China’s Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). Shekou Net Valley, which is in the China Merchants Shekou Industrial Zone, is among the nation’s first batch of mass entrepreneurship and innovation demonstration bases, gathering well-known enterprises like Apple, IBM, Nestle, Fibocom, Siecom, and International Intelligence Machines Co. Ltd. and creating 40-billion-yuan worth of annual production and about 30,000 jobs, including over 2,000 positions for talents of foreign nationalities. Yanshan has been a role model for building an international community in Shenzhen for its supreme city-industry integration and community administration and reform.
