Cuida in Luohu

Cuida Community is situated in Cuizhu Subdistrict, which is the hub of Shenzhen’s jewelry industry. The subdistrict has over 300 jewelry-processing enterprises gathered in the Wanshan-Shuibei Industrial Zone, whose output and trading volume account for more than 70 percent of the city’s total. There are approximately 200 foreign residents residing in Cuida Community, of whom 90 percent are Indian nationals who mainly engage in the international trade of jewelry. In order to promote the integration of foreign residents into the local community life, facilitate the exchanges and blending of Chinese and foreign cultures, and enrich the international residents’ spiritual and cultural lives, special programs like talent training for children, community English corners, international potlucks and family talent competitions are regularly held.
