Shenzhen International Airport is one of the largest airports in the country. It connects 178 cities with passenger flights and 34 cities for cargo logistics flights, while serving 49 airlines from home and abroad. The airport annual throughput for passengers has reached 49.35 million, with throughput for cargo at 1.28 million tons. A total of 356,000 flights departed and arrived at the airport in 2008. All of the above numbers helped realize year-on-year growth, with each ranking fourth in the country.

Relying on the airport, which is an important aviation facility, Bao’an plans to develop industrial clusters that are motivated by the exhibition industry, integrate the traffic advantages of the airport and high-speed railway, and develop trade exhibitions, innovative R&D and international logistics, which are closely related to the airport economy.

In the meeting, Shenzhen Airport Group and the involved airlines discussed how to further develop the integration of enterprises and local industries, while being actively involved in the construction of Bao’an’s airport economy.

The meeting pointed out that the airport and airlines are making great contributions to Bao’an’s industrial development as a result of the mutual acceleration and co-development of aviation services and industry.

Next, Bao’an will do more to serve Shenzhen Airport Group and the airlines, hold hands with all walks of life to become actively involved in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and support the development of a pilot demonstration area of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
