Hacker Trip to China is a fun and cool exchange event with a diverse group of hackers, makers, innovators and designers from around the globe. They are touring in China to have a better understanding of the manufacturing ecosystem here.


They will visit Shenzhen from Oct. 25 to Oct. 31 and hold an event Oct. 30 at Chaihuo x.factory. Anyone can bring a project and give a five-minute presentation to share the story and inspirations behind your making.

Hacker Trip to China organizer Mitch Altman will give a presentation. He is known for inventing TV-B-Gone, a keychain that turns off TVs in public places. He co-founded a successful Silicon Valley startup and did pioneering work in virtual reality. He promotes hackerspaces, open-source hardware, and mentors others wherever he goes. He is a co-founder of Noisebridge hackerspace in San Francisco and is president and CEO of Cornfield Electronics.
