IMAX With Laser coming to Emperor Cinemas

A huge IMAX With Laser screen imported from Canada has been hung by 35 movie fans yesterday at Emperor Cinemas’ new outlet at PAFC Mall in central Futian District.

IMAX With Laser is arguably the gold standard when it comes to the movie-going experience. It provides audience members with the sharpest, brightest and clearest images ever combined with a whole new level of immersive audio.
The system features the full Rec. 2020 color gamut, which means audience members will experience a wider range of colors and a more vivid and lifelike image. It also has a 12.1-channel surrounding sound system, which has an additional speaker on either side of the screening room as well as additional overhead speakers. Audience will experience every audio detail, be it a pin drop or the heart-palpating force of a volcano.
Emperor Cinemas’ new outlet at PAFC Mall (平安金融中心商场) is scheduled to open later this month. Located on the sixth floor of the shopping mall’s south tower, the cinema will have seven screening rooms with a total of 1,000 seats.
Emperor Cinemas’ another outlet in Shenzhen is inside EP Mall (东海缤纷天地) near Chegongmiao in Futian District.
