1. Greater contributions will be made to serving the overall situation of epidemic prevention and control as well as economic and social development at national and provincial level. On Mar. 18, the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and Shenzhen Municipal People’s Government convened a seminar to listen to opinions and suggestions of enterprises on epidemic prevention and control as well as work and production resumption. Party Secretary Wang Weizhong attended the meeting and made a speech, while Mayor Chen Rugui presided over the meeting. Wang Weizhong pointed out that cautious and unremitting efforts should be made to carry out the prevention and control work in a rigorous and detailed manner, in a bid to prevent imported cases of the epidemic, speed up the restoration of normal economic and social order, and set good examples in promoting high-quality economic development. 2. Shenzhen's work resumption rate of major projects involving urban operation, basic livelihood and key activities is over 97%. The construction site of Shenzhen's Chengjian Building was suspended after the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic. With the improvement of epidemic prevention and control situation, resumption of the project has been actively promoted while epidemic prevention and control has been underway. At present, the construction site has been fully restarted with all workers on board. After the completion of its construction, Chengjian Building will become the highest building of state-owned enterprises in Shenzhen and a new landmark of Luohu District. There are 2,278 construction projects in Shenzhen, the core engine of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. 3. The burden of enterprises is reduced by more than 60 billion yuan, and Shenzhen’s "16 preferential measures for enterprises" is beginning to display effects. Shenzhen’s "16 preferential measures for enterprises" has been released for more than a month, and the policy has reduced the burden of enterprises by more than 60 billion yuan in various ways, among which more than 10 billion yuan is directly allocated by the finance department to support various projects of enterprises’ work resumption. 71 enterprises obtained a total of 47.226 billion yuan of national special relending credit. More than 700,000 enterprises are expected to reduce social security and medical insurance costs by 30 billion yuan. As of Mar. 11, there had been 10,038 industrial enterprises above designated scale in Shenzhen, with the re-operating rate of 97.5% and the personnel work resumption rate of 68.7%. 4. After previous donations to Serbia, Shenzhen donates epidemic prevention and control supplies to more countries. On Mar. 18, the first batch of epidemic prevention and control supplies donated by Shenzhen to its 3 friendship cities in Republic of Korea, namely Busan, Gwangyang and Incheon, were packed to be sent to their destinations immediately. The supplies include 70,000 disposable medical masks manufactured by BYD, a home-grown company in Shenzhen. Under the coordination of Office of Foreign Affairs Work Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, another 200,000 masks have been sourced and will be donated to Turin and Milan in Italy, Tsukuba in Japan and Bern in Switzerland among other international friendship cities of Shenzhen. 5. Job-seeking and employee recruitment feature is launched on "i Shenzhen," offering one-stop and finger-tip services. Due to the impacts of the epidemic, some offline job fairs have been canceled and companies have been laying off employees in the face of hardships in their operation, making the situation even harder for job-seekers. The job-seeking and employee recruitment feature will provide special programs such as campus recruitment and online recruitment for university graduates of the year and incumbent workers. It will also offer full-chain services including graduate reception, incumbent talent introduction, household registration in Shenzhen, residence permit application, talent subsidy, housing and social insurance.
