Meaning:
Literally meaning “sacred beasts,” this term is now jokingly used by Chinese netizens to refer to their kids. Pampered by their parents and grandparents, some Chinese children are disobedient and sometimes make a mess at home. However, they are untouchable, because parents and grandparents just don’t have the heart to punish them. Just like sacred beasts, the kids are sometimes naughty and behave terribly, but they have a mysterious power over their parents.

You look unhappy these days.
B: 我家那只神兽不好好学习，天天捣乱，真希望学校赶紧开学。
