Updates on COVID-19 cases in Shenzhen (April 19)

On April 18, Shenzhen confirmed 1 new COVID-19 case and reported 2 new symptomatic cases with 2 more patients discharged from hospital after recovery. As of midnight of April 18, the city had confirmed a total of 461 cases.

Domestic cases

1 new domestic case was confirmed on April 18, bringing the number of domestic cases confirmed in the city to 422. The patient came from Hubei Province. 

Imported cases

No new imported case was confirmed on April 18. The number of imported cases confirmed in the city remains 39. 

Asymptomatic cases

2 new asymptomatic cases were reported on April 18. The patients came from Hubei Province. Currently, 31 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation, among which 13 came from outside the Chinese mainland.

Of the confirmed cases, 228 are male and 233 are female. 

So far, 431 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovery, and 3 deaths have been reported. 

All of the 27 patients are being treated at Shenzhen No. 3 People’s Hospital. 182 persons in close contact with the patients are under medical observation.
