Updates on COVID-19 cases in Shenzhen (April 20)

On April 19, Shenzhen reported 2 new asymptomatic cases with 1 more patient discharged from hospital after recovery. As of midnight of April 19, the city had confirmed a total of 461 cases.

Domestic cases

No new domestic case was confirmed on April 19. The number of domestic cases confirmed in the city remains 422. 

Imported cases

No new imported case was confirmed on April 19. The number of imported cases confirmed in the city remains 39. 

Asymptomatic cases

2 new asymptomatic cases were reported on April 19. The patients came from Hubei Province. Currently, 33 asymptomatic patients are under medical observation, among which 12 came from outside the Chinese mainland.

Of the confirmed cases, 228 are male and 233 are female. 

So far, 432 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovery, and 3 deaths have been reported. 

All of the 26 patients are being treated at Shenzhen No. 3 People’s Hospital. 219 persons in close contact with the patients are under medical observation.
