A tourist route including attractions such as Shenzhen Industrial Museum and Shenzhen Yibo Clock and Watch Cultural Museum was selected as one of the 20 boutique tourist routes featuring industries in Guangdong Province, a news conference by Guangdong tourism and industrial authorities said Tuesday.

The route, named as “Shenzhen journey of craftsmanship and intelligent manufacturing,” also includes Guangming Sandalwood Cultural Town, FREESKY sightseeing platform, Huaqiangbei scenic area and Guangming Farmland.

As a province with developed industries, Guangdong has rich industrial tourism resources, said a report by Shenzhen Economic Daily.

The 20 routes were designed to illustrate Guangdong’s industrial stories and to develop the province’s industrial tourism.

Six manufacturing enterprises in Guangdong are among Fortune Global 500. Half of all smartphones, a third of air conditioners and a third of LCD TVs around the world were produced in Guangdong, according to Tu Gaokun, director of Guangdong Provincial Industry and Information Technology Department.

In another development, Shenzhen Bus Group is considering launching three tourist bus routes.

The No. 1 tourist bus route is for humanity and history, with stops at Lianhua Hill, Huaqiangbei, Shenzhen Litchi Park, Dongmen Pedestrian Street, Shenzhen International Trade Building, Shanghai Hotel, Civic Center and CocoPark.

The No. 2 tourist bus route is themed science and technology, and includes stops at Window of the World, Chegongmiao, CocoPark, Shenzhen Mangrove Nature Reserve, OCT Harbor, Coastal City, Shenzhen University-Tencent Station and Science and Technology Park.

The No. 3 tourist bus route is designed to see the city’s night scene, including stops at OCT Harbor, Shanghai Hotel, Shenzhen Book City, Civic Center, Lianhua Hill Park and Chegongmiao.
