City confirms two more COVID-19 cases

On Aug. 10, Shenzhen confirmed two new imported COVID-19 cases and reported one asymptomatic case. 

Case 464 is a 53-year-old male of Chinese nationality. He boarded a plane in Russia and arrived in Shenzhen on Aug. 8. He was immediately quarantined for observation upon entry to the city. Based on clinical symptoms, epidemiological investigation results and nucleic acid test results, he was confirmed of COVID-19 infection. The patient is currently receiving treatment at the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen. 

Case 465, a 32-year-old male of Chinese nationality, is the son of Case 464. He boarded a plane in Russia and arrived in Shenzhen on Aug. 8. He was immediately quarantined for observation upon entry to the city. Based on clinical symptoms, epidemiological investigation results and nucleic acid test results, he was confirmed of COVID-19 infection. The patient is currently receiving treatment at the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen. 

The new asymptomatic case is a 32-year-old male of Chinese nationality. He boarded a plane in Russia and arrived in Shenzhen on Aug. 8. He was immediately quarantined for observation upon entry to the city. Based on clinical symptoms, epidemiological investigation results and nucleic acid test results, he was diagnosed as an asymptomatic patient of COVID-19. The patient is currently receiving treatment at the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen.

As of midnight of Aug. 10, the city had reported a total of 465 cases. Currently, three patients are in hospital for treatment.
