Meaning:

“名” means “famous,” and “场面” means “scene” or “occasion.” Coined by Chinese netizens and first used by fans of comics and animation, this term refers to the most impressive scenes in an animation, film or TV show, with characters saying some unforgettable lines. It can also refer to an unforgettable occasion in general.

Example:

A: 今年你看过印象最深的电影是什么?

Jīnnián nǐ kànguò yìnxiàng zuìshēn de diànyǐng shì shénme?

What’s the most unforgettable movie you’ve watched this year?

B: 是讲一战的《一九一七》。特别难忘的名场面是两个士兵穿越前线的时候偶遇一片盛开的樱花林,自然的美景衬托出战争的残酷。

Shì jiǎng yīzhàn de 《yījiǔ yīqī 》。Tè bié nánwàng de míngchǎngmiàn shì liǎnggè shìbīng chuānyuè qiánxiàn de shíhòu ǒuyù yīpiàn shèngkāi de yīnghuālín ,zìrán de měijǐng chèntuō chū zhànzhēng de cánkù。

I’d choose “1917,” a film about World War I. One scene that especially impressed me was when two soldiers crossed the frontier, they came across a wood of blooming cherries, with the natural beauty set against the cruel backdrop of war.
