Meaning:

“绿茶” is literally translated as “green tea.” However, Chinese netizens have used the term to refer to the kind of women who appear to be serene and nice but are actually merciless and manipulative, taking advantage of the men who take a fancy to them and toying with their feelings.

Example:

A: 听说你弟弟找了个女朋友?

Tīngshuō nǐ dìdi zhǎo le gè nǚpéngyou?

Is it true that your younger brother is seeing someone?

B: 是啊,不过我不是很喜欢她。她给我的感觉是有点像“绿茶”。

Shì a,búguò wǒ búshì hěn xǐhuan tā。Tā gěi wǒ de gǎnjué shì yǒudiǎn xiàng “lǜchá” 。

It’s true. But I don’t like her much. I feel that she is not as nice as she seems and might be one of those merciless and manipulative women.
