Ferry service to Macao from Shekou Cruise Homeport will reopen today, according to Shekou Cruise Homeport.
From today to Sunday, two ferries will head to Macao Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal and Macao Taipa Ferry Terminal at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
From the other end, two ferries will leave from Macao Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal and Macao Taipa Ferry Terminal at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. respectively.
Four ferries will run between Shekou and Macao from Monday to Sept. 20 while the number will increase to eight starting Sept. 21.
Passengers entering Shenzhen from Macao can board ferries if they can present a green health code and negative result of a nucleic acid test within the past seven days.
A collective 14-day quarantine is not required after arrival in Shenzhen. However, they should report their health situations via the “粤康码” mini-program and take personal protective measures for 14 days.
Outbound travelers to Macao should have no traveling history outside the Chinese mainland and Macao within 14 days and be able to present a green health code together with negative virus test results within the past seven days, according to information released by the Shenzhen Municipal Office of Port of Entry and Exit.
In another development, two solutions were considered to address traffic inconveniences between Shekou Cruise Homeport and the Taizi Bay area in Nanshan District, according to Shekou News.
The plans include building an aerial corridor and automatic walking path, said the report.
In addition, a transfer service has been considered between Metro Line 12 and Metro Line 2 near the cruise homeport.
Plans are being considered because Metro Line 12 as it is currently being constructed will not be connected to Shekou Cruise Homeport, thus people have to walk a distance from Taizi Bay Station (Line 12) or Shekou Port (Line 2) to the cruise homeport.
Chen Jun, chairman of the Nanshan District Committee of the CPPCC, said that residents have high expectations for green travel, given heavy traffic pressure in Nanshan. It is thus hoped that matters mentioned in political advisers’ proposals can be handled in a timely manner.
