Guangdong Ocean University to send students working at Golden Bay

Students from Guangdong Ocean University will have opportunities to practice skills and even start careers at Dapeng’s Kaisa Golden Bay Resort, according to a contract signed last week by the university and Kaisa International Resorts Group.

The two parties agreed to cooperate on talent fostering and curriculum development.

The Kaisa International Resorts Group, the operator of the Golden Bay Resort, announced it will not only provide internships and positions for those students but will send professionals to the university to help develop curriculum and give lectures and guidance on the tourism industry.

Noble Coker, chief designer of the resort, said the cooperation will meet the demands of both parties as the upcoming resorts projects expect a lot of talents and the university needs to include practical experience and application of skills with the learning.

According to the resort group, it also has started recruitment. Positions such as park operation, management, security, animal management and logistics support are open for application.

Situated at Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, the Guangdong Ocean University was granted to set up in 2005 to cultivate professionals for the marine industry.

Located in the Dapeng Peninsula, the Golden Bay Resort boasts a 2.2-kilometer long beach. The project will have five themed amusement venues, five international luxury resort hotels, three ecological parks, a theater, commercial streets and other diversified business forms.
