22nd China Hi-tech Fair to be held in Nov.

The 22nd China Hi-Tech Fair will be held between Nov. 11 and 15 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District, the organizers said at a conference Wednesday.

Around the theme of “Science and Technology Changes Life, Innovation Drives Development,” the fair will exhibit achievements by China in scientific projects, basic research, cutting-edge technologies and the upgrading of traditional industries in the 13th Five-Year Program (2016-2020) period. It will display new-generation technologies, advanced technologies and products in various fields including energy saving and environmental protection, optical displays, smart medical treatment, smart city, advanced manufacturing and aviation.

Also worth noting, this year’s high-tech fair will highlight industries whose fast growth was triggered by COVID-19, like online education, online office, online medical treatment, AR and VR, bio-pharmacy, smart medical treatment and smart city management.

At the exhibition area of information technologies and products, a special area will be designated for showing the products and technologies that have played an important role in fighting against COVID-19. The products and technologies include noncontact thermal body checks, noncontact delivery, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, robotics and drones for disease control.

With the onset of commercial application of 5G technologies, the organization will set up a special area to display 5G products and technologies and a series of seminars about 5G applications will be held.

The fair will also be available online. So far, exhibitors from 34 countries and international organizations, including the U.S., Russia, Japan, South Korea and the EU, have confirmed plans to attend the fair online.
