Shenzhen Book City CBD Store puts on new look

The north zone of Shenzhen Book City CBD Store in Futian District opened for service Wednesday after being temporarily closed down for renovation starting April.
The book city's newly renovated north zone utilizes the space more effectively and interacts better with the readers. It's also supported by AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology. Readers can use the interactive screens at the zone to find books that best suit their temperament through facial recognition and to play audio books.
The zone also has several elevated, quite platform with desks and chairs for the visitors to take a rest and read books.
The book city has been renovated for the first time since its opening in 2006.
