New cold air to strike city

Temperatures in Shenzhen will drop again starting Thursday due to a new round of cold air, according to Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory.

Before the cold front arrives, temperatures will go up to as high as 22 degrees Celsius.

However, there will be a slight temperature drop tomorrow and then a severe temperature drop Thursday with a mass of cold air sweeping across China from north to south.

It is reported that the cold weather will continue through Sunday.

At present, the air in the city is dry and the red alert for forest fire danger and the yellow alert for cold weather are still active.

Residents are advised to stay warm and moisturized.
