A bilingual radio broadcast, “The Voice of Shenzhen,” was officially put online on Ximalaya, an online audio-sharing platform, yesterday.

The program is set up to explore the inspiring voices in Shenzhen, collecting audio, videos, words and pictures about the city in three columns: “Hearing from Shenzhen,” “Exploring Shenzhen” and “Unveiling Shenzhen.”

Audience members can hear about Shenzhen’s international communication and its voice to the world in the column “Hearing from Shenzhen,” including news reports of important international exchange events and the construction process on international blocks. The column also displays the open business environment for innovation and entrepreneurship and the fruitful cultural lifestyles.

“Exploring Shenzhen” invites 10 expat residents in Shenzhen, introducing the city from their perspectives on dishes, fitness, outdoor activities, maker culture and entrepreneurship. Some of them have been living in Shenzhen for a dozen years, and some of them are old hands at living in Shenzhen who can speak fluent Chinese. They are all faithful lovers of Shenzhen.

“Unveiling Shenzhen” brings insights from academics, leaders and professionals from home and abroad about Shenzhen’s international development. Listeners to the interviews can get a better understanding of Shenzhen’s achievements in the fields of education, science and technology, design and overseas exchanges.

The program was jointly launched by Shenzhen Foundation for International Exchange and Cooperation and Shenzhen Evening News.
