City reports one imported confirmed COVID-19 case

On Jan. 5, Shenzhen reported one more imported confirmed case and three more imported asymptomatic cases of COVID-19.

The confirmed case, a male of Chinese nationality, came to Shenzhen from Hong Kong. He was quarantined upon entry and was later sent to the emergency ward of the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. He was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (normal type) based on consultations by a panel of medical experts that factored in his epidemiological investigations, clinical symptoms and CT screening results. Currently, the patient is in stable condition.

The three asymptomatic cases, including two males and a female of Chinese nationality, came to Shenzhen from South Africa and Kenya. They were quarantined upon entry and were later sent to the emergency ward of the Third People’s Hospital of Shenzhen for treatment. Currently, the patients are in stable condition.
