Shenzhen will generally see warm and dry weather during the Spring Festival holiday, according to the Shenzhen Meteorological Observatory.

But temperatures will drop starting today, affected by a cold wave. The lowest temperatures from today to Sunday are expected to be 10 to 12 degrees Celsius. Temperatures will go up Sunday.

Warm and dry weather will be seen ahead of the Spring Festival, albeit with a slight change in temperatures as the observatory speculated that there would be one to two rounds of weak cold air to hit the city between Feb. 5 and Feb. 10.

During the Spring Festival holiday (from Feb. 11 to Feb. 17), the weather will be warm and cloudy. By the end of the holiday, temperature lows will range from 10 to 12 degrees as a new cold front will move in.

There will also be another round of cold air at the beginning of March, along with rainy and misty weather for six to eight days.

Dry and less rainy weather will continue for one month. The red alert for forest fire is still active in the city. Residents are warned of the danger of fire in their homes.
