More than 4,000 oil paintings by artists from 66 countries and regions are on display at the “Home and Co-existence” exhibition of the Second Dafen International Oil Painting Biennale at Dafen Art Museum. Entry is free.

The works have rich artistic styles and diverse creation forms. They not only express the artists’ personal inner worlds, but also reflect in-depth thinking about modern society, reflecting the artists’ common concerns for the human homeland.

The exhibition theme, “Home and Co-existence,” reflects the attention to and thoughts about global issues such as international affairs, environmental protection and resource crises in recent years. The unexpected COVID-19 pandemic magnified the significance of this theme, and also triggered the artists’ creative enthusiasm and inspiration.

In a diversified, open and constantly changing international context, the biennale, launched in 2018, opens up a broader dimension to the possibilities of art for the human spirit.
