The 34th International Exhibition on Plastics and Rubber Industries (CHINAPLAS 2021), the world-leading plastics and rubber trade fair, opened Tuesday at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center in Bao’an District.

The four-day fair, organized by Adsale Exhibition Services Ltd. and supported by Shanghai Düsseldorf Exhibition Services, will display products and technologies that cover the whole industrial chain in 16 halls of the exhibition center.

CHINAPLAS, approved by the UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) since 2006, is one of the leading global platforms for the plastics and rubber industries. CHINAPLAS 2021 attracts over 3,600 exhibitors from 40 countries and regions to display their products and technologies with an exhibition area of 350,000 square meters.

Subsets of the plastics industry that excelled during the pandemic like single-use, medical plastics and 3D printing will also be highlighted. A series of concurrent events will explore hot topics like 5G, digital manufacturing, high-performance materials and special engineering plastics.

Zhu Yulun, chairman of Adsale exhibition service Co. Ltd., said in March that the plastic machinery produced in China had taken the leading place in the world for 15 straight years. Starting from 2021, CHINAPLAS will be held in Shenzhen for every odd year.

The city's traffic police will impose traffic controls on roads around the exhibition center. In the core area of the exhibition center surrounded by Binjiang Boulevard and Zhanjing, Zhancheng and Fengtang roads, parking and pickup and drop-off passengers will be banned. Vehicles that illegally park in the restricted area will be towed away.
