Drone world congress to be held May 21-23

The 5th Drone World Congress 2021 will take place in Shenzhen from May 21 to 23 with the theme “New Era New Value,” according to a press conference held in the city Tuesday.

Over 1,000 industry experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from more than 60 countries and regions are expected to attend. Over 300 enterprises at home and abroad will bring more than 2,000 new unmanned systems and products to the congress.

This year, the event will set up several special forums focusing on such topics as 5G+ Internet drone application, safety management, industry application, education and training, artificial intelligence, robot and unmanned surface and undersea vehicles.

Hundreds of reputable scholars, well-known entrepreneurs and innovators of unmanned systems will gather to discuss the technological changes, innovations, industrial applications and future development of drones through themed reports, keynote speeches or round-table discussions.

The 6th Shenzhen International UAV Expo 2021 and the 4th China International UAS Expo 2021 will also be held in Hall 2 of Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center in Futian District during the drone world congress.

China has become the most important industrial base of civil drones worldwide. More than 1,200 of the drone firms in the world are from Shenzhen, which boast an output value of about 50 billion yuan (US$7.65 billion). They possess 74 percent of the global market share in consumer drones and 55 percent of global market share in industrial drones.
