Shenzhen to hold aerospace science carnival

The Shenzhen Aerospace Science Carnival, an aerospace science popularization activity, will be held between Sept. 28 and Oct. 7 at Hall 20 of Shenzhen World Convention and Exhibition Center in Bao’an District, according to the organizer of Shenzhen Science and Technology Application and Popularization Exposition.

The carnival is a major activity of the Shenzhen Science Popularization Month and will offer children a great experience learning about space science during the National Day holidays.

“The exposition covers 40,000 square meters and is divided into an experience area, which has 40 scenarios including astronauts’ life and work, training bases, and VR scenarios for space travel,” said Chen Qiong, general manager of Shenzhen Science and Technology Application and Popularization Exposition Exhibition Co. Ltd.

Visitors can also experience other items like riding in a return capsule, Mars Rover launch simulation, VR scenarios and zero-gravity training entering into Tiangong 1, the Chinese space laboratory.
